The Farm Aid co-founder is the fifth recipient of the award, given to an artist who best exemplifies the spirit of Woody Guthrie by speaking for the less fortunate. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame exhibit on Mellencamp also will be heading to the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
