Judge temporarily blocks Iowa's 'fetal heartbeat' law while lawsuit is resolved

The Iowa law, which would ban nearly all abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected about six weeks into a pregnancy, was set to take effect July 1. It will be put on hold while Planned Parenthood's lawsuit works its way through the state courts.
